About Us

At Shoreline - the difference is ownership.

We are a non-profit institution that's built by you and for you. We are a great alternative to banks, especially when taking care of your financial needs. Shoreline offers a wide array of services - and we are wholly owned by our membership.

Join us today and you too can enjoy the benefits of ownership. Your voice is always heard. Your interests come first. Not like a bank - where profit drives decisions.

Our Board works for a "Thank You." Not stock options.

We are owned by our members. Not Wall Street.

Bank board members make decisions to increase the value of the bank's stock.

Banks exist to make a profit to benefit stockholders

The Bank Model

  • Banks
  • Customers use the bank's deposit and lending services.
  • Profits are returned to the stockholders, who in turn drive management decisions.

Shoreline Credit Union Model

  • Shoreline Credit Union
  • Members use Shoreline's deposit and lending services.
  • Managers answer to the owners who are the members.

At Shoreline, we are NOT focused on profit. We focus on providing high level services.

Our Board Members get one vote. So do you.

Our roots are in Manitowoc County. Not San Francisco.

The bank board of directors serve outside stockholders who decide how to generate profits taken from bank customers

Shoreline is right here in Manitowoc County. We are part of your community.

The Shoreline difference. It's our people! Manitowoc County’s Hometown Credit Union — since 1941. We are a member-owned, non-profit financial cooperative serving over 10,000 members in nine Wisconsin counties — Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Kewaunee, Calumet, Brown, Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Outagamie, & Door.

We are members of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent federal agency that charters and supervises federally insured credit unions. All member deposits are insured by the NCUA. Shoreline is considered well capitalized according to NCUA standards.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help our members achieve financial success. We achieve this by providing members with a safe place to save and borrow at reasonable rates. We excel at this by remaining committed to employing an honest, knowledgeable staff whose focus is on one member at a time.

Community Involvement

At Shoreline Credit Union, we have always been a supporter of our community in Manitowoc County. We focus our commitment by volunteerism, giving and sponsorships.

We volunteer.

Our employees give generously of their time and resources. Whether it’s involvement in Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, Kiwanis International, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Two Rivers Business Association or the Salvation Army, Shoreline people are there to help out our community and the less fortunate among us.

We give.

Shoreline provides financial support through charitable donations to help maintain the health of our community. We give generously to many different organizations. It’s part of our philosophy of service.

We sponsor special community events.

At Shoreline, we sponsor community events such as Kites over Lake Michigan, Kiwanis Car Show, Fish Derby, Subfest and the Cool City Car Show. We give back to the community on our members' behalf!

How to submit a proposal for a community donation:

Our community outreach committee evaluates requests each fall to determine which organizations we will support financially or through volunteering or other contributions for the following year. Click on this link below for a form to request sponsorship.
